“It’s when we start working together that the real healing takes place.”

Why Patients Choose Living Change
All practitioners are qualified and registered
Every psychologist at Living Change is AHPRA-registered. Our social workers are AASW-accredited mental health social workers. Our acupuncturist holds a double degree in Acupuncture and Chinese Herbal Medicine with Honours and completed her internship at a hospital in Shanghai. We don’t compromise on qualifications.
Holistic care that treats the whole person
We’re not just a psychology clinic, and we’re not just a natural health clinic. We are one of the few Melbourne practices where your psychologist and naturopath are colleagues — able to collaborate, share insights, and build a health plan that accounts for both your mind and body.
Medicare rebates, NDIS, EAP & WorkSafe accepted
We work hard to make quality mental health care financially accessible. We accept Medicare Mental Health Care Plans (up to 10 sessions per year), NDIS self-managed and plan-managed funding, WorkSafe, TAC, and multiple EAP providers. Reduced-fee sessions are available for eligible clients.
Experience across all ages and life stages
Our practitioners work with children (from age 6), adolescents, adults, and older adults. We have specialists in teen mental health, men’s issues, women’s hormonal health, relationship and family counselling, perinatal support, and later-life wellbeing.
Telehealth available
All psychology, counselling, and social work services are available via secure telehealth video sessions for clients across Victoria. No travel required.

FAQ
Living Change Psychology & Natural Health offers psychology, counselling, social work, acupuncture, traditional Chinese medicine (TCM), naturopathy, nutritional medicine, clinical hypnotherapy, NLP, ADHD coaching, and massage therapy. We operate across three Melbourne locations — Bellfield, Essendon, and Collingwood — with telehealth available for psychology and counselling services. New patients are welcome at all three clinics.
Living Change has three Melbourne clinic locations: Bellfield at 335 Bell Street (near Heidelberg Repatriation Hospital), Essendon at 143 Napier Street, and Collingwood at 33 Victoria Parade. Telehealth appointments are also available for clients across Victoria. Clinics are open Monday to Saturday.
Yes. Living Change psychologists accept referrals under the Medicare Better Access Mental Health Care Plan. To access Medicare rebates, you first need to see your GP and request a Mental Health Care Plan. This allows you to claim a Medicare rebate on up to 10 individual psychology sessions per calendar year. Call us on (03) 9440 9886 to confirm eligibility before booking.
Yes. Living Change accepts NDIS self-managed and plan-managed participants across Bellfield, Essendon, and Collingwood. Multiple practitioners on our team are experienced in working with NDIS clients, including those with neurodiversity, disability, and complex mental health needs. Contact us to confirm availability and which practitioners at each location accept NDIS funding.
Yes — this is one of Living Change’s key strengths. Our Essendon clinic combines psychology, acupuncture, naturopathy, Chinese herbal medicine, and clinical hypnotherapy under one roof. Your practitioners are colleagues who can collaborate on your care plan, offering a genuinely integrated approach that addresses both your mental and physical health simultaneously.
Yes. Telehealth appointments are available for all psychology, counselling, and social work services at Living Change. Sessions are conducted via secure video call and are available to clients anywhere in Victoria. Medicare rebates apply to telehealth psychology sessions under a valid Mental Health Care Plan, just as they do for in-person sessions.
Yes. Sean Guy (Senior Psychologist, 25+ years’ experience) and Thomas Lowe (Psychologist) both have a specialist interest in men’s mental health at our Bellfield and Essendon clinics. They work with men navigating trauma, grief, relationship breakdown, workplace stress, and emotional difficulties. Also, we have other psychologists who help patients of all gender. You don’t need to have everything figured out before your first appointment.
Yes. Elisabeth Staunton, our AHPRA-registered acupuncturist and Chinese Medicine practitioner, is available at our Essendon clinic (143 Napier Street) every Wednesday. With 17 years of experience and a double degree from a Shanghai hospital internship, Elisabeth treats musculoskeletal pain, chronic pain, women’s health, fertility, perimenopause, and stress. WorkCover is accepted.
A registered psychologist completes a minimum of six years of university training including supervised clinical practice and is regulated by AHPRA. They can provide Medicare-rebated sessions under a Mental Health Care Plan and conduct psychological assessments. A counsellor typically completes a shorter qualification and is not AHPRA-registered, meaning Medicare rebates are not available — though sessions are often more affordable. Living Change offers both, so we can match you to the right practitioner for your needs and budget.
Yes. Couples therapy is available at our Bellfield clinic with Sean Guy (Senior Psychologist) and at our Essendon clinic with Amy Shah (Psychologist). Our couples therapists use Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), CBT, and interpersonal approaches to help partners navigate conflict, communication breakdown, infidelity recovery, and life transitions. Call (03) 9440 9886 to discuss the right practitioner for your situation.
Yes. Our Essendon and Bellfield clinics offer ADHD support for adults and adolescents, including psychology, coaching, and naturopathic approaches. Julian Schokman (AMHSW, Essendon) and Dominik Styczynski (Psychologist, Collingwood) have specialist experience with ADHD, neurodiversity, and the co-occurring anxiety and mood challenges that often accompany late-diagnosed ADHD. We also offer NDIS-funded ADHD support.
Yes. Living Change is a registered provider for several major Employee Assistance Programs (EAPs) including Acacia EAP, TELUS Health, VicPol EAP, and ACCESS EAP. Individual practitioners vary in which EAPs they are registered with. When booking, please let our reception team know your EAP provider so we can match you with an eligible practitioner. Call (03) 9440 9886 to confirm.
At Living Change’s Essendon clinic, natural health services include acupuncture, cupping therapy, moxibustion, gua sha, Chinese herbal medicine, naturopathy, nutritional medicine, and clinical hypnotherapy. Our Essendon location is the only clinic in the area combining these natural therapies alongside psychology and counselling — making it Melbourne’s most complete integrative health destination in the inner west.
Yes. Living Change’s Collingwood clinic (33 Victoria Parade) is easily accessible from Fitzroy, Richmond, Abbotsford, and Carlton. Our Collingwood team includes registered psychologists specialising in anxiety, depression, ADHD, OCD, schema therapy, social anxiety, and women’s mental health. The clinic is open Tuesday through Friday, with NDIS and WorkSafe funding accepted.
A Mental Health Care Plan (MHCP) allows you to claim Medicare rebates on up to 10 psychology sessions per year. To get one:
(1) Book a longer appointment with your GP and mention you’d like to discuss your mental health.
(2) Your GP assesses your needs and writes the plan.
(3) You receive a referral to a registered psychologist.
(4) Contact Living Change on (03) 9440 9886 and mention your MHCP when booking.
The process typically takes a single GP visit.
