About the Clinic
Living Change is a trusted psychology and holistic health clinic located at 143 Napier Street, Essendon VIC 3040. Our Essendon clinic brings together a multidisciplinary team of twelve registered practitioners — including AHPRA-registered psychologists, accredited mental health social workers, a clinical hypnotherapist, an AHPRA-registered acupuncturist and Chinese medicine practitioner, and a qualified naturopath — to deliver a genuinely integrated approach to your mental and physical wellbeing.
Whether you are seeking support for anxiety, depression, trauma, relationship difficulties, ADHD, women's health, fertility, perimenopause, chronic pain, or stress, our Essendon team offers evidence-based care that addresses the whole person. We accept referrals under Medicare Mental Health Care Plans, NDIS (self-managed and plan-managed), WorkSafe, TAC, and a range of Employee Assistance Programs (EAP). Telehealth appointments are available for all psychology and counselling services.
Our Essendon clinic is centrally located on Napier Street — within easy reach of Moonee Ponds, Flemington, Ascot Vale, Airport West, Strathmore, Avondale Heights, and surrounding western and north-western Melbourne suburbs. What sets the Essendon clinic apart is its unique dual identity: simultaneously one of Melbourne's most fully qualified psychology services, and a natural health hub offering acupuncture, Chinese herbal medicine, naturopathy, nutritional medicine, and clinical hypnotherapy — a rare and powerful offering in Melbourne's inner-western suburbs.
What We Offer

Why Living Change
Our Essendon clinic is the only clinic in Essendon and the inner-west combining AHPRA-registered psychology with acupuncture, Chinese medicine, and naturopathy under one roof.
With over 12 registered practitioners, you get matched to the exact professional and modality that fits your needs — not just whoever happens to be available.
We work hard to remove financial barriers to quality health care across psychology and natural health services.
Elisabeth Staunton brings 17 years of experience in women's reproductive health, fertility support, and perimenopause care using TCM and acupuncture.
Julian Schokman (AMHSW) and our psychology team bring specialist experience with ADHD, autism, and co-occurring anxiety and mood conditions — including NDIS-funded support.
Secure telehealth sessions available for all psychology and counselling services. Medicare rebates apply under a valid Mental Health Care Plan.
Our Clinical Approach
At Living Change Essendon, we believe that effective health care goes beyond the mind-body divide. Our Essendon clinic is intentionally designed to bring psychology, counselling, and natural health practitioners into the same space — enabling a level of cross-disciplinary collaboration that is rare in Melbourne's community health sector.
Our psychology team delivers evidence-based therapies including Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT), Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing (EMDR), Schema Therapy, and Dialectical Behaviour Therapy (DBT). Our natural health practitioners deliver care backed by both traditional practice and contemporary clinical research.
Where clinically appropriate, your practitioners collaborate — sharing insights and building an integrated plan that addresses root causes across mental, physical, and lifestyle dimensions. This is not alternative health. This is evidence-informed, whole-person care delivered by qualified professionals.
