Julian has a warm and relaxed approach and uses gentle curiosity to help understand deeply the difficulties in someone’s life. There are connections between our everyday experiences and patterns, the roles and dynamics in our families, and how we have come to form our sense of self. Julian’s role is to guide and support a person to understand themselves and feel empowered and able to act in ways that align with their values.
Support is provided to connect a person to the here and now and feel more present and able to utilise their inner wisdom and get in tune with their body. Diagnoses are one lens to look at what troubles us so Julian’s approach accounts for the whole person and their circumstances.
Julian has extensive experience working with people with trauma, grief, addictions and difficulty with relationships and is committed to helping others live their life fully while reckoning with the concrete realities of their daily lives- rapid change, difficult transitions and poor treatment from others. Julian supports people to recognise the things they can’t control and those they can. He works collaboratively toward realistic solutions as well as providing safety and encouragement to change patterns and heal wounds.
